Simpson Desert Salt Lakes Challenge

The title does give it away somewhat, you will spend 6 days walking in the desert away from vehicular tracks, in the true sense of the word this is unsupported, you will carry everything for 6 days, and that includes water.

How you ask, that too is supplied, a cart, you will efectively walk from Birdsville in the south west corner of Qld to Poeppel Corner, 135km away, walking approx 22-23km a day. After a tough first day crossing a few dunes you will then follow the salt lakes to Poeppel Corner, Poeppel Corner is the border of NT, Qld and NSW.

The following day you will transfer to 4WD and return to Birdsville for the night before returning to sydney, everything is supplied or included except for airfares and personal gear, sleeping bag and mat.
