XPD Cairns - Australia, Countdown

<i>The next World Series race to take place is XPD Australia, and this year there is added interest as the race will be the 2011 World Championship. As a result there is a stronger international entry this year, though the lure of racing in Queensland may have had something to do with that as well.

Here our Australian Editor, Steve Cooper, previews the race and teams to watch;</i>

One category is already sewn up, OK they have to finish but if they perform to their abilities 'MacPac Girls on Top' should also give the rest of the field a great run for their money.

Some regulars are back for another hit out, Mawson, Goldfish, Nga Rakau and Blackheart, with some quality overseas teams and some relative unknowns to our shores also racing, we should have more news on those guys over the coming weeks.

Look out for Orion Adventure, Merrell/Alkali and Wenger-nam-easyimplant.

Cairns is the backdrop for this years event and can only shape top racers appetites for next year when Tassie will host XPD - AR World Champs.
