Canberra set to inflict some Capital Punishment

Media Release - AROC Sport / 24.05.2010
Around 2,000 riders will descend on Canberra’s extensive system of off-road tracks and trails to compete in either the 50km or 100km enduro events, both of which kick off at 7.00am, Saturday morning.

Capital Punishment will link the best single tracks in Canberra including Kowen Forest, Majura Pines, Black Mountain and Mount Stromlo. This year’s event marks the first time such a fantastic course has been put together in the Territory. Despite being in just its first year, this is destined to be the largest mountain bike enduro in the country and the apex of Enduro MTB events.

Here is the schedule for the weekend:

Friday, May 28 between 4.00pm and 10.00pm (preferred)

Race Start Saturday, 29 May at 7:00am:

- 50km at Campbell Park Offices, Northcott Drive, Campbell.

Race Finish for both races is at Stromlo Forest Park between 10.30am and 5.00pm.

Race Presentation will take place at 7.00pm at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
