In summer 2010, Swedish sportswear specialist CRAFT introduces its new Marathon Top which utilizes an extremely lighweight, cooling fabric and considers the specific runner’s needs: a 3D construction with ergonomically shaped arm pits guarantees maximum freedom of movement and minimum chafing. Engineered for serious marathoners, a unique knitting construction provides fantastic ventilation thanks to the mesh outer, while the plain material on the inside effectively wicks moisture away from the skin. With its 62 g (Size M), the Marathon Top is the coolest and lightest way to run the 42 K – fast!CRAFT presents the coolest and lightest way to run the 42 K! The new Marathon Top by the Swedish brand is made of Cool Mesh Superlight material. The fibres are worked in a unique knitting technique, which shaves off grams and offers exceptional cooling properties. The honeycomb construction features mesh with big holes on the outside for fantastic ventilation. Whereas on the inside, CRAFT uses a plainer construction since only the contact area with the skin ensures effective moisture transportation.
CRAFT combines this new knitting technique with the elastic Cool polyester fibre with antimicrobial treatment for odour prevention and freshness. Its six channel construction increases the surface area, which leads to so-called capillary action. This results in an unbeatable heat and moisture dissipation. The Cool fabric as well as the Mesh Superlight version have been test winners in several international magazines, including field testing as well as objective lab tests undertaken at Swiss Research Institute EMPA. Further, the Marathon Top has a running (& gender) specific cut with ergonomic arm pits. The new top turns even the hottest 42 K race into a cool breeze!
