Pie Eater Events are proud to announce the 3rd annual Adventure Racers Ball and prestigious Awards Ceremony to be held on January 15th & 16th at the central UK location of Rollerworld, Derby and surrounding countryside.

Veterans of the event will recognise the format: varying levels of biking on Saturday, with a pub lunch stop en route. More activities on Sunday morning before another hearty feed and getting back on the road home.

The main evening event this year has a special twist to give the weekend more of an adventure element - hopefully the venue will have given you a little clue? Yes, you are invited to spend the evening on skates, or on the floor for one or two of us I suspect. It is smart dress for the awards, but it is freestyle for the skate disco should you not trust your talent. (skate hire included in weekend cost). Skates are not mandatory during dinner and prize giving to preserve dignity and suit cleaning costs, but heavily encouraged for roller disco-ing into the night. Failure to have a go may result in suspicions that you take yourself too seriously and bring shame on the spirit of the AR community in general ... Since skating has been in many of the last World Championships, it's time to make fools of ourselves and have a laugh.

The weekend is a great chance for seasoned racers to enjoy a less competitive trip out with folks you're normally trying to race eyeballs out against. As well as for new comers to AR to see what it's all about, meet like-minded folks, pick the pros brains for top tips, or even worse get roped into a team! The people who get the most out of this weekend are non-racers who finally get to meet these strange creatures their friends or partners go off and do nutty things with.

Varying activity plans means there should be something for every level, but for those after something a bit different, you can always make use of the Virgin gym and Spa next to Days Hotel which is our Event HQ. Pie Eaters have arranged special AR rate at £20 per person per night based on two sharing with a hearty breakfast and lots of Tea only £5. Quote "AR BALL" on 01332363600.

As in previous years, dinner will be followed with the 2010 seasons AR awards ceremony. Your nominations will help acknowledge those who have made a difference in AR over the last year, the unsung heroes doing all the behind the scenes magic and the ARSE's amongst us! Everyone who completes the form will be entered into a prize draw to pick up an AMAZING prize at the Awards.
