Thule Adventure Team for 2011
At the recent ISPO Outdoor Fair in Munich, Thule announced the new line up for their AR team for 2011, with a bigger squad. Richard and Elina Ussher have now left the team which has been joined by the equally experienced French pairing of Jacky Boisset and Mimi Guillot, along with Swedish racers Per Vestling and Andreas Svanebo. Their press release reads as follows;<br /><br>The Thule Adventure Team, brought together by Thule, aim to challenge the very best in some of the toughest, most extreme adventure races and multisport competitions in the world. After a successful first year in 2010, the team is now getting organized and set up for a new season starting with the Huairsinchi race in Fuerza del Viento, Equador, South America, in March. The team is extended from four to six members, of which four are totally new to the team.<br /><br />Going into the 2011 season, Martin Flinta, captain of the Thule Adventure Team can look back on a successful first year. First place Abu Dhabi Adventure (Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates), Coast to Coast (New Zealand), Scandinavian Championship/Åre Extreme Challenge (Åre, Sweden) are just a few of the successes that the team has achieved.<br /><br />“It has been a very good first year with the Thule Adventure Team†says Martin Flinta. “Going into 2011 we can not only look back on some good results, but also on some good learning’s on how we can achieve even better results.
