Morocco will yet again be the stage for an exciting race. The organizers of the successful adventure race that just wound up, the Transmarocaine, will be at it again this Autumn. Sphere Adventure and Looping Events will be organizing a mountain bike stage race travelling from Ouarzazate to Marrakesh on September 24th-October 1st, 2011.

This first edition will take racers through the Atlas mountains where they will have a chance not only to explore the stunning scenery but also have a taste of Moroccan culture. Bikers can expect to cover between 40 and 80 kilometers a day for a total of 250-350 kms over five days and four categories exist: Elites, Women, Masters +80 (i.e. the total age of teammates exceeding 80yrs) and Mixed.

The package price includes technical assistance for the bikes, security with geo-localization tracking as well as access to the medical team and massage teams etc.

The organizers are offering a 10% discount on the registration fee for teams that sign up before April 30, 2011 if they mention Sleepmonsters when they register. Looking at the list of teams already on the list it looks like the race is set to draw quite an international crowd with teams from Belgium, Holland, Germany, France and England on board.
