OMM Are Looking for Wet Weather Runners to be TV Stars

News Release / 27.05.2011
Ever fancied seeing yourself on television? Had an unsuccessful audition for "Britains got Talent"? Had your video that you sent to "Beadles About" rejected? Then this may be your opportunty for stardom. It might not get you a slab on Hollywoood Boulevard but it could be your step to those bright lights and millions that you dreamed of.

Film producers Love Productions are currently making a brand new prime-time BBC One programme about the British weather. One of the sections that they are looking at at the moment is celebrating running in extreme weather- rain in particular. They would like to touch on the 2008 Original Mountain Marathon in Borrowdale that was rained off by maybe revisiting the route, talking to some runners (maybe who are training at the moment for a future race) and possibly actually going out running with some people who are training. They want to embrace our British love of sport despite the elements!

If you were on the 2008 and have video footage taken by you or anyone else of you at the event then get in touch with Andy Williams at andy@theomm.com.

Filming will take place in the next few weeks in the Lake District.
