THE 100K'er MTB Marathon set to ignite the South Coast

Media Release / 10.06.2011
On Sunday the 19th of June, the Currambene State Forest and surrounding trails near Jervis Bay are set to light up as the 3rd Round of the Real Insurance XCM Series, powered by CycleNation, comes to town.
THE 100K’er MTB Marathon sees defending race champion Jason English go head to head with current series leader Ben Mather. Will English’s knowledge of the course pay dividends, or can Ben Mather overcome this to maintain the series lead. Perhaps Matt Fleming, after riding off course last year and DNF’ing has a point to prove this time round.
The ladies will be leaving nothing in the tank after Vanina Vergoz overtook Jenny Fay for the series lead at Race 2 of the XCM Series, the NSW Dirtworks – a race missed by Jenny due to injury.
Over 900 riders will make the annual pilgrimage to Callala Beach in what is one of the fastest growing events on the mountain biking calendar. The allure of fast smooth trails, beautiful scenery and easy access from both Sydney and Canberra too good an incentive for most.

Entries closed Wednesday the 8th of June, so make your way to the event website http://www.blackheartevents.com.au/callala-mtb/the100ker-home

to see a Mountain Biking adventure not to be missed next year.
