New Adventure Challenge Spain Joins the AREuro Series

Multiday racing is to return to Spain this October with the launch of the new ‘Adventure Challenge Spain’.  The 48 hour, 300km event will be the first long race in Spain since the World Championships in 2010, and will also be part of the growing AREuro Series.

It is being organised by Randobike with the help of media and marketing company Adventure Feeling, and will take place from October 12-14th, with categories for teams of two,’two+one’ in relay, or the ARES category which is for traditional mixed teams of 4.  Entry fees are cheaper until July 2nd (1000Euro for ARES and 450 for the other categories), and then increase and there is a limit of 40 teams on the race.

For transport the nearest Airport is Madrid, all the race equipment is provided and no support crews are needed.  There are some interesting disciplines as well – including stand-up paddling, archery and blowpipes!  (That’s a new one!)

You can find out more and register at http://www.randobike.com/adventure-challenge-espana/adventure-challenge-spain/general-information.

-        Another recent development in the AREuro Series is that Endurance Quest in Finland has joined.  The race takes place soon (July 23-29th) and is also part of the ARWorld Series, making it the first race to join both series.

-        The new Spanish race unfortunately clashes with another AREuro Series event – the Lycian Challenge – the first 4 day adventure race to be held in Turkey.
