Explore California Launches 5 Race Series

Explore California have announced the series dates for their new coalition of 24 hour races and launched their web site for 2005.

The 5 race schedule starts in June and runs through the later part of the year to the series grand finale at the Baja Travesia, which is a 3 to 6 day race to be held in Baja, Mexico. (Paul Romero and Karen Lundgren of West Coast Adventure Racing are designing the course in conjunction with Antonio Rosquillas.)

There are cash prizes on offer and the series dates and venues are:

June 18/19 - Lake Tahoe
August 6/7 – Santa Ana Range
Sept. 3/4 – Red Bluff
Nov. 12/13 – Gold Country
Dec 1/5 – Baja Mexico

The newly launched site has initial race information, plus a teammate finder and a special ask the expert column giving racers an opportunity to get tips and advice from some of the worlds most veteran and experienced racers.
