Stage Towns of 1st BIKE Four Peaks Announced

Munich, November 26, 2012 – The framework for the 1st BIKE Four Peaks is set, the secret about the stage towns of the new mountain bike stage race has been disclosed.

The successor event of the Trans Germany will kick off in Ruhpolding on June 5. From the Upper Bavarian town situated in the Chiemgau Alps area the route will lead to Austria, right into Salzburg and then further on into Tyrol where the race wraps up in Neukirchen am Großvenediger on June 8.

Until the finish line, the Four Peaks field will stop over in Lofer, Kirchberg in Tirol and Kaprun on its more than 300 kilometer long journey which is peppered with some 9,000 meters in elevation.

A maximum total of 1,000 participants can enter the four-day event organised for both, pros as well as amateurs.

The official registration to the 2013 BIKE Four Peaks starts Tuesday, November 27, at 12 PM (CET) on www.bike-fourpeaks.de.

About the BIKE Four Peaks

The BIKE Four Peaks promises to be a true highlight of the 2013 mountain bike calendar. Designed for a maximum of 1,000 participants, the four-day stage race will lead through the most spectacular mountain bike areas of the Alps.

Pros as well as amateurs will pedal a total of some 300 kilometers which are peppered with about 9,000 meters in elevation gain from Ruhpolding via Lofer, Kirchberg in Tirol and Kaprun to Neukirchen am Großvenediger.

Besides entering the race as single starter, every participant also has the chance to register for a team of four or even more mountain bikers.
