Fancy a Fire Walk

Steve Ward, the writer of our great motivational training articles, has been in touch to throw out an unusual challenge for the coming weekend – the chance to do a FireWalk!

It’s a charity event aiming to raise £30,000 to go towards the Haven House Foundation - Children’s Hospice at Woodford Green, Essex and the Disaster Emergency Committee for the Tsunami victims.

The challenge is to “feel the fear but do it anyway, and choose to walk over burning wooden embers at 1200 Fahrenheit – which you can do without any pain or injury, after being trained to master your mind by Firewalking Masters.”

There is a £150 per person entry fee, which can be raised through sponsorship, and the organisers say all you’ll need is a “Great sense of humour, a desire to have a good night out & an open mind.”

The firewalk takes place on Feb. 5th, stating at 6.30pm, at the Blake Hall Sports Ground, Blake Hall, Road, London. It will be happening whatever the weather, as the fire is too hot for rain to put out! Around 150 people are expected, and there’s a bar and food afterwards.
