Odyssey Under New Management

Odyssey Adventure Racing starts it’s 8th season under new ownership and management. Adventure sports athlete and Odyssey staff member, Ronny Angell and his fiancé Hollie Flynn purchased the company and are set to continue producing the adventure races and endurance triathlons/duathlons on which the company built its reputation.“It was time to turn over the reigns to someone with the energy, talent and enthusiasm this business requires,†said former president and Odyssey co-founder Don Mann. “With Ronny’s enviable racing bio and understanding of event production, and Hollie’s proven business experience, Odyssey is now situated to continue to grow with the industry,†he added.
“We are honored to be given this opportunity to carry on the Odyssey legacy of safe, well-organized, and extreme events. We will also work to bring new venues, new races, and new experiences to our racers to challenge them to explore new limits! This is a very exciting time for us, Odyssey, and the entire race community,†said Flynn.
Odyssey started in 1998 when Mann and co-founder Joy Marr produced the first BEAST of the East Adventure Race. True pioneers in the business, Mann and Marr started Odyssey at a time when adventure racing was just taking form in the US. Since that time, the company has produced 7 seasons of successful sporting events, and is recognized as a premier race organization that sets the standard for other race promoters. Mann and Marr will continue working with Odyssey in the capacity of consultants, course designers and race managers.
