Thule Sponsor Gravitate Mountain Bike Festival

Australia’s most-trusted adventure brand THULE, has recently been announced the major sponsor of the annual Gravitate Mountain Bike Festival, to be held in Cairns from October 11th - 14th, 2013.
THULE’s National Marketing Manager, Scott Randall-Smith welcomed the opportunity to join the annual Gravitate MTB Festival, saying “It was a no-brainer to get involved with the Gravitate crew. With Queensland’s best tracks on offer in some of our favourite country, we found that the guys offered us the perfect mix of a solid event in a great part of Australia. We’re rapt to be on board!"
We would also like to welcome TREK on board, who will be bringing up the entire 'Ultimate Demo fleet’, offering riders the opportunity to test out all the latest products from their range around the Smithfield MTB Park. TREK's Marketing and Demo Manager, Lachlan Paton said, "We are excited about partnering with the Cairns Mountain Bike Club to be a part of this growing MTB festival. We look forward to seeing you there for 4 days of sunshine and trails!"
The action packed weekend begins with riders competing in the Cross Country Eliminator, Pump Track Challenge and Dual Slalom on the Friday night. Saturday there will be the THULE/TREK social day, Sunday, riders take part in the Dawn-to-Dusk Downhill Tour of Cairns and on the Monday, a tour of the best cross country trails the region has to offer.
The Cairns Mountain Bike Park has a solid history among the world MTB scene, having been the first destination in the southern hemisphere to host international events. Event Director Craig Nissen had this to say; "The club is very proud to once again be the host to more major international events starting from 2014, and along with THULE we are excited to see the rapid growth of Gravitate take effect as riders from all over the world once again journey to this iconic destination."
