This was the 20th Anniversary of New Zealand\'s longest standing mountain bike race, and the turn out didnt dissapoint, entires could have exceeded 1500 riders, but the organisers had to limit the field and 1236 lined up withTim Vincent of Nelson won the Elite Pro men in a shade over 2.28 and Rosara Joseph of Wellington winning the Elite Pro Women, notable results from the Aussies were Tory Thomas finishing 4th in the Elite Pro Women in a time of 3.19 and Tim Bennett finishing 3rd in the Elite Pro men only 3 minutes behind Tim in a time of 2.31, to see more on the race go to SleepMonsters Race Report.
