Raid Gallaecia (Spanish Championships)
Raid Gallaecia (Spanish Champs) Entries Now Open
News Release / 26.02.2014

The Club Gallaecia Raid will be organising the Raid Gallaecia in the village of Xermade, Spain on May 10th and 11th 2014 this year. This time, the race is also presented as the Spanish Adventure Racing Championships 2014.
The organising team has been working hard to plan a special race with fantastic routes in the most spectacular places and with a balance between hardness and technicality that allows the creation of a surprising raid for the more experienced raiders and a beautiful challenge for novices.
The locality of Xermade and its surrounding areas provide a fascinating environment and terrain for the enjoyment and the design of an adventure race. The race will include mountain biking, trekking, kayaking and rope activities, as well as navigation and will be non-stop, covering around 200km for the elite category and around 160 kilometers for the Adventure category.
The teams will need an assistant for this race. This is new for the race and is being done to allow for the planning of a more linear and interesting course. Another novelty will be that the race will include the use of the TrackTheRace tracking platform for real time coverage using a GPS device that the organization will provide to teams.
The race costs only 100 Euro per team until April 30th, and you can find full details of the race in Spanish and English on the race website at http://raidgallaecia.com/en/
