Mud Run’s Way Ahead for Rowcroft Hospice
Press Release / 04.08.2014
Way Ahead has muddied the waters for Rowcroft Hospice and they couldn’t be more pleased! Registration for this year’s Mud Run is now open and the organisers, Way Ahead, are donating a percentage of the entry fee to Rowcroft. They are also encouraging participants to raise sponsorship for the local hospice so the more people who sign up from across the area, the better it will be for Rowcroft!
The Mud Run is an off road trail race over 5K or 10K and apart from the obvious mud, runners can expect to encounter small natural and man made obstacles along the way. It is once again being held at The River Dart Country Park on Sunday 28th September 2014 and participants can enter either as an individual or get a team together and tackle it in numbers!
Debbi Shotton, Community Fundraising Officer at Rowcroft Hospice, said: “We’re very excited about the Mud Run and to be supported by Way Ahead in this way. The race is such a fun event and the funds raised through registration and sponsorship will be spent on providing vital services to people living with life-limiting illnesses and support to their loved ones.”
Phil Way of Way Ahead said “This is a unique event providing fun and challenge in a beautiful setting alongside the River Dart on the edge of Dartmoor. The interest has been phenomenal with entries well above expectations. We are pleased to be supporting Rowcroft through this event and are sure people will have a great experience whilst raising money for a good cause.”
Every participant will get a medal and wrist band memento for finishing, plus there will be a few prizes on offer from the event's main sponsors Buff and Clif Bars.
