The Last Boliviana?

The Boliviana adventure race has finished after a week spent in dream landscapes.
What a week! Everybody felt the same emotion: the only regret that it is already finished!
Each of us will keep a lifelong memory of such an adventure.
We passed through magic and majestic places which seemed almost unreal, they were so beautiful and grandiose: Copacabana, Zampaya, The Royal Mountain range, Chicharro with its’ villagers who knew how to welcome the brave participants by offering them the warmest of parties, the road of Karpani, unique because vehicles have to use narrow and sinuous tracks such the infamous " road of death ", the Bridge of Choquekkota, the Canyon of Palca which gives the impression of being tiny and the colors every time different that incite us each time to seize the image with it.
Then the village of Huni that offerd us extraordinary views of this majestic mountain « Illimani « peaking at 6,462 meters in altitude, one of the highest summits of Bolivia with its summit covered in snow which defies us with its majestic presence.
This adventure race proved yet again that pushing ones limits can be allied with these very high altitudes but primarily that mental force is essential to finish each one of the stages. This BOLIVIANA adventure race also showed once again that the sporting achievement can be allied to a humanitarian cause.
During every stage, the organization of Boliviana distributed toys and school supplies in the villages that the race went through; Karpani, Choquekkota and Huni. The teams all participated by bringing items in their luggage or by buying on the spot in Bolivia numerous presents. Team Lattitude 55 donated and installed three computers in 3 different schools and the team Djebelya contributed financially to the putting into service of a water pump essential to the village of Chicharro. Every time the welcome was warm and moving.
On the sports plan, Team 7, Raid 0'Cazelles won the over-all classification in 12:29 :02, followed by Team 12, Neuchaventure 1 in 12:51 and in 3rd position Team 5, Saint Just Raid Aventure 2 in 13:11:02.
In the mixed category the winners were team 17, Raid 0'Brothers Brothers in 15:55 :48 ", followed by team 19, Dunkirk Raid Aventure 1 in 16:14:39 " and in 3rd position the Franco-Bolivian team "A Donf" in 30:05:24".
Finally the ranking of women's teams (there were only three) sees the victory of the famous "Pink Bikettes" in 30:17:42 ".
Although tired, everybody was happy to have lived such an adventure! What praise of the landscapes, the atmosphere, the brotherhood, the quality of the organization !
The LAST BOLIVIANA has finished and the boxes are all put away… until when ?
