Press Release / 09.02.2015
The children’s disability organisation Lifestart is calling all kayakers to register for its annual Lifestart Kayak for Kids. Sydney Harbour will be the backdrop for Lifestart’s Kayak for Kids, an annual community awareness and fundraising event to be held on Sunday, 29 March 2015.
Lifestart is inviting people of all ages and paddling experience to participate in the challenge which offers an amazing opportunity to kayak on Sydney Harbour under maritime safety surrounded by fellow paddlers. The 18.1 km kayak challenge starts at Blues Point Reserve at Lavender Bay and finishes at Clifton Gardens, Mosman.
The event begins at 6.30 am at Lavender Bay and last year attracted over 1100 paddlers including corporate teams, competing for the Corporate Challenge Cup. Registration costs start at $65 for a solo paddler. Kayak for Kids ends with a family and friends picnic at Clifton Gardens Mosman with free entertainment and a BBQ.
Lifestart, a not for profit organisation and registered charity, provides early childhood intervention and school age years programs and supports to children and young people living with disability or developmental delay.
