The Forster Adventure Race is back and with it a new and improved Junior Spirit. Saturday 9th of May will see adventure racers from across Australia descend on Forster to take on a race that has the reputation of delivering a unique adventure experience, taking competitors across some of the most challenging and scenic landscapes that the Great Lakes has to offer.

The smash hit course from 2014 is back and has something for everyone! Ocean swimming in the crystal clear waters off Pacific Palms, cross country running around rugged escarpments and forests, with a paddle leg across Smiths Lake, mountain biking through the Wallingat National Park with a sweet mix of rolling trails, creek crossings and single track, paddling on the pristine Wallis Lake, around islands and past famous oyster leases before a run across the renowned Forster Tuncurry bridge to finish on Main Beach.

Entries from Western Australia, Victoria and Queensland as well as NSW have already come in. Organisers are expecting a bumper field. Along side the adventure racers will be hundreds of kids from the Great Lakes and Manning Valley taking on a specially constructed kids only event. The Junior Spirit - Super Kids Obstacle Race - presented by Hogs Breath Forster will have new obstacles and challenges and is guaranteed to be a whole lot of fun. If you are into adventure, looking for the next big challenge or just love the outdoors then this is the weekend for you. Get your gear sorted, get your entry in, grab some friends, book your accommodation and lock it in!

Racers can enter both the Adventure Race and Junior Spirit online at www.forsteradventurerace.com.au. These are events not to be missed. Both events are proudly presented by the Great Lakes International Triathlon Association & Fully Rad Adventures and supported by Great Lakes Tourism, Great Lakes Council, Hogs Breath Café and Dynamic Gifts.
