Open Tracking Partners With Ordnance Survey

Open Tracking and Open Adventure are delighted to announce that we have teamed up with Ordnance Survey (OS) to provide event participants with access to OS's world renowned maps via online and mobile tracking applications.

Since 2010 Open Tracking have provided online tracking services to adventure races, ultra runs and other long distance challenges throughout the UK. Events across the country have been supported by OS via their OpenSpace Pro service, with the API delivering a speedy and high class delivery of online map tiles including 1:50 000 and 1:25 000 scale. To the online viewer this provides a richness of detail and route information that surpasses all others. Everyone is impressed with the quality of OS mapping.

Open Adventure are using OS's 1:25,000 and 1:50,000 mapping as a key resource for their events enabling participants to visualise and navigate their challenges. In addition to the event mapping, OS are providing support and added value with a variety of products including the new OS Maps on-line and mobile service.
