Rugged and Tough Bonaqua LIFEPROOF Coming to Discovery Bay

­The Bonaqua LIFEPROOF Action Sprint Series are in full swing and now coming to the second race in Discovery Bay. March 6th will witness the fierce competition among over 300 runners in the race. After the first successful Sprint in Repulse Bay, people's passion for Sprints has been worked up.

A 17-year-old trail run enthusiast Chiu Chi Yeung has just finished the race in Repulse Bay and is looking forward to getting good grade in the next race. Yeung said, "usually I do trail running before I go to school and also run after class. Many classmates respect me and some of them are inspired by the sport spirit and willing to do trail running with me. It would be better if Action Asia Event could hold some trail training lectures and talks in some secondary schools or even organize inter-school trail running races with schools."

Scott Dent and his wife Dina Dent, a sweet couple from Australia, are big fans of Action Asia Events. "We have been working and living in Tung Chung for around two years. We fall in love with trail running because hiking in Hong Kong made us energetic and active. That's why I took part in Action Asia Taiwan last year. This year we registered the whole Bonaqua LIFEPROOF Action Sprint Run series and Mongolia Ultra Marathon again and we are looking forward to these exciting races," said Dina Dent. After the first Sprint, now Scott and his wife are preparing for the second race in Discovery Bay.

Different from the race last year, the courses of Bonaqua LIFEPROOF Action Sprint Series 2016 were designed without river gullies due to the new AFCD restrictions across Hong Kong. Apart from the beach running and mountain climbing parts that are retained, the trail runners will run along the road instead of scrambling the river gullies and doing short swimming. Without getting wet, the runners of the race this year will go for a fiercer competition of speed and technical skills with each other during racing on the road. And the natural sightseeing of the course will promise the runners an impressive trail running journey.
