Ziener BIKE Festival Garda Trentino Programme Confirmed

With only a few weeks to go till the mountain bikers kick off the European season at the 2016 Ziener BIKE Festival Garda Trentino powered by MINI, Local Organisers have confirmed the sport programme for the three-day mega event. From April 29th till May 1st, mountain bike fans from more than 30 countries will not only get a first glimpse on what's hot this summer at the huge expo areal but also the chance to compete with some of the world's finest talents in all kinds of disciplines.

Like in the previous years, the Rocky Mountain BIKE Marathon is the main highlight of the 23rd edition of the Ziener BIKE Festival Garda Trentino powered by MINI. On Saturday, international pros as well as 2,500 amateurs alike will tackle a total of four different marathon distances which feature once again a varied routing.

And after it's great success at the inaugural BOSCH eMTB Marathon supported by Trek Race Officials also put together an alternative race format specially tailored for eBikes.

The previous evening will feature a premiere with the Radon Pump Battle joining the event schedule for the first time. On a purpose-built, parallel pump track course two mountain bikers will go head to head battling for the next round before the Pump Battle King of Riva mounts his throne right next to the town's old harbour.

Those who are not tired of pumping after competing in the third of six stops of the Pump Battle World Series can go for some more in a pump track race against the clock staged at the CANYON Pumptrack powered by mtb-academy on Saturday afternoon.

While both events address racers of all shades, the Sunday is reserved for the Enduro specialists who will also compete in a brand new event.

The North Lake Enduro might not be part of the European series anymore but the race with start and finish in Brentonico will offer some untamed and unknown tracks in Alto Garda Bikepark which will provide a demanding profile.

Kicking things off at the North face of Monte Altissimo participants have to master not only five stages rich in variety but also a total of 1,400 metres of climbing until they reach Mount Busatte right above Torbole.

In addition, also the youngest racers will get the opportunity to gain some first race experience at the SCOTT Junior Trophy which provides a circular course and races for all kind of age groups.
