MOUNTAIN DESIGNS GeoQuest 48hr AR - 10-13 June 2005

This years race promises to be a goodie, not that they are ever anything other than that.
The other disciplines for this year race will see the return of roping, where the roping section will be run by experienced proffesionals so you will need no equipment and will be instructed at that point what to do.

Now i know we were all hoping to see a snorkelling section, well, good news we wont. The 5th element will be TUBE RAFTING. The idea is taken from the expeditionary discipline of pack rafting but has an Aussie twist to it. Basically the rafts that you must use are 4WD tyre tubes. You move these through the water using your kayak paddles.

It is going to be a big year, so far 30 team are signed up for the full course and 8 for the Geo Half. Entries dont close for another month so get you still have plenty of time to talk your freinds into it, after all thats pretty much how everyone started out.
