Jasmin Paris to Headline First Buxton Adventure Film Festival Night

Ultra-runner Jasmin Paris headlines the first Buxton Adventure Festival event of 2017 - on Wednesday, 11th January.
Jasmin has been shattering long distance trail running records:
- Setting the fastest time ever for the Ramsay Round (16 hours 13 minutes)
- Becoming the fasted woman ever to complete the Bob Graham Round (15 hours 24 minutes),
- Establishing a new record on the Fellsman (11 hours 9 minutes)
- Coming second in the 5-day 180-mile Berghaus Dragon’s Back Race.
Jasmin will talk about her record setting races, preparations, training, nutrition and competing at a world class level while holding down a full-time job.
The event support speaker is Sally Fawcett, another top ultra-runner who achieved silver at the National Ultra Trail Championships and a team bronze at the Trail World Championships.
There will also be a showing of the inspiring film Cape Wrath Ultra, which follows the inaugural 8-day, 250-mile running expedition. Finally, there will be an audiovisual presentation from Ourea Events, organiser of some of the UK’s finest off-road mountain running events.
The event takes place at the Buxton Opera House Pavilion Arts Centre at 7:30pm, Wednesday, 11th January 2017.
