MOUNTAIN DESIGNS GeoQuest 48hr AR - 10-13 June 2005

Located at Bonny Hills, approx 15 mins south of Port Macquarie. Port Macquarie is on the mid North Coast of NSW approximately 350km North of Sydney and 580km south of Brisbane. The closest airport is Port Macquarie airport (approx 15mins drive from Bonny Hills) and QANTAS has flights here.
We have been told that the average number of rainy days in june is 9 and that temps should range from 8 to 20C, so we will be checking.
The race HQ will be at the Rainbow Beach Holiday Village. The park is located right on the beach at Bonny Hills.
I would like to add that the Geocentric crew have certainly picked a great spot for this years race, being on the mid north coast, the race will be set amongst some great scenery, and there is a myriad to choose from, from the cliff faces of Perpendicular Point in Kattang nature reserve, to the coastal rainforest in Sea Acres nature reserve which is heralded as the largest and most diverse in the region and we cant leave North Brother Mountain out of the equation which lies at the centre of Dooragan National Park. All these spots are within easy reach of Bonny Hills. I wouldnt be suprised to see the race visit atleast 1 of these spots.
