National Championships Announced

The Canadian Adventure Racing Association have announced that the Canadian National Adventure Racing Championship will be held in the City of Timmins from May 28th to June 3rd 2006.

They are expecting over fifty teams of four racers, their support crews, spectators and media to descend on the region for the new event. Participants from all over Canada, plus the United States, and Europe will race for five days through the wilderness surrounding the city in what is the first true national championship for adventure racing in Canada.

The race is the result of three years worth of planning and dedicated efforts by CARA, and will not only benefit the sport of adventure racing, but will also allow Timmins and its region to showcase itself as a natural destination for outdoor adventure sports.

New partners continue to come on board on a regular basis to make this event a great success, so expect additional announcements of sponsors for the race in the near future.
