Manchester Ratified

Manchester was the third and last city to host a Rat Race on Saturday, with the Urban X based in the city centre in Piccadilly Gardens.

This race had a different format to Bristol and Edinburgh, taking place all on one day, and with no Elite just class. The morning stage was street orienteering for a couple of hours for Rookie and Adventure teams, and in the afternoon those in the Adventure class got on their bikes for the second stage. This took them to the South of the city and included stops for kayaking, climbing, abseiling and orienteering.

Saab Salomon were once again out in front, winning by a clear margin. We’ll post a full report and lots of photos shortly. The winner’s times were;
