GODZone, Chapter 10 - Traverse. Live Coverage Starts Friday_ get ready for an Adventure Like No Other
Press Release / 01.03.2022
A full Traverse of the South Island beckons and what a truly epic adventure it will be. This coming Friday teams will set out on a huge expedition, covering a wide variety of terrain and environments. It will be difficult. It will involve some fairly extreme physical and mental obstacles. There will be highs and, no doubt, some lows. New friendships will be forged whilst others are shattered, as the pressure to succeed mounts.
For those that endure, there is the prospect of celebrating a Full Course finish - against a background of Covid and all the other challenges life throws at you - at the end of it all. For the teams that don't quite make it (and there will be plenty of those), there will be pride in giving this anniversary edition of GODZone a crack.
It's tough one, that's for sure. We can't wait to get the show on the road this Friday and encourage everyone to dial into 'Live Coverage' when it kicks off at www.godzoneadventure.com.
It's almost time to down tools and follow those damn dots. Productivity Levels Critical - Repeat, CRITICAL!
This Traverse edition of GODZone will be a memorable expedition with a real blend of classic Kiwi backcountry. Teams start on the rugged West Coast, travel through high alpine passes, complete a full traverse of a challenging mountain range, interspersed with some super long bike stages on various iconic routes. There will be a great blend of water stages which, offer some sensational views and a chance to rest weary feet and legs. Navigation, route choice and strategy will be a core component of a successful outcome.
