World Rogaining heads to Australia in 2027

After the great success of the 2025 World Rogaining Championships in Spain, the 20th edition is bound for South Australia in September 2027. The venue is the Flinders Ranges north of the city of Adelaide.
The area was ranked amongst the world’s top 25 places to visit in 2026 by Lonely Planet.
The 24-hour team event involving cross country navigation on foot will coincide with a full moon. The first event Bulletin has now been released WRC2027_Bulletin_1_V4.pdf.

As a major event it has gained financial support from the South Australian Government.
Event organiser, Craig Colwell, says he is pleased with planning progress. Land access confirmed, mapping using new LIDAR data and course setting. He said the event will reward the fittest who are also the best navigators.
