John is one of the most experienced and accomplished adventure racers on the planet. He’s the only non-kiwi to have ever won New Zealand’s Coast to Coast (which he has won three times) and he has won all the big expedition races – Eco Challenge, Raid, Mild Seven Outdoor Quest and many more. Most people know of John’s kayaking background (4 times world marathon champion), but he’s also not too bad on the feet for a big man who ain’t too dainty (marathon pb 2:34) ... and no, he\'s not writing this.So if you’d like to hear some of his tales from crazy races in far flung places, book now for a spot, seats are limited. John will also be giving people some tips and hints for final preparations for the Anaconda Adventure Race and answering as many questions as you have for him!
The presentation is free for people who are entered in the race, or $20 for those who aren’t – all monies donated to the Burnet Institute, our charity partner for the race.
