WHAT:Â Â Â 30 Hour Adventure Race/Â 85 miles PRO class/Â 60 miles Adventure Class
The Odyssey One Day Xtreme Adventure Race is perfect for athletes looking for a very demanding 30 Hour race that encompasses most of the major disciplines found in the longer expedition-style competitions. The course provides lots of elevation gain and loss (with the emphasis on gain) and spectacular scenery among the Blue Ridge Mountains on the southern end of the Appalachian Mountains.
TEAM FORMAT:  Odyssey will not have a soloist category in this race for safety reasons due to the possible extreme weather conditions at this time of year. However, we have added a 2 person category.Â
Teams of 2 or 3 person - coed, male, female and masters - will trek, mt. bike, paddle, and orienteer virtually nonstop for a 1 1/2 days.

PREMIER DIVISION:Â To be eligible for the premier division you must consist of a 3 person coed team and use a 16-18 foot canoe (must be made of ABS, Royalex, or similar) . You can use Kevlar, Carbon Fiber, or Alumninum (or any combination), but will not be eligible for the premier division. Â The premier division will be eligible to qualify for the 2006 USARA National Championship and be in the running for prizes.
