And then there was one

Three Canadian teams began the race on Monday, but the tough West Coast terrain proved too much for the Canucks. Subaru Canada missed the rafting cut-off and then skipped the second trek. They will continue racing, unranked, after skipping the second trek.

Supplierpipeline's hopes of a good finish were dashed after Dave Corner's knee inexplicably gave out on his during the trek through the Brunner Range. Holofiber dropped out of contention at the Curtis Hut on the Brunner Range, when they realised they would not make the second cut off and the pace was just too slow to make it possible.

Undaunted, members of Supplierpipeline and Holofiber are continuing to race unranked.

"I really want to see those caves," said Holofiber's Dave Zietsma, who was unaware that the caving section had been in peril. (It will now go ahead.)
