Racing Ahead Changes Hands for 2006

Press Release / 14.01.2006
As Norm Greenberg and Tracyn Thayer ‘retire’ from Adventure Race Production, a new owner Tracey Olafsen continues the tradition of Racing Ahead in New England.

(Bethel, ME) – Racing Ahead, Inc. of Bethel, Maine is proud to announce the transfer of management to Tracey Olafsen of Racing Ahead, LLC based in Center Sandwich, New Hampshire.

“It’s been a bittersweet transition for us”, says Norm Greenberg of Racing Ahead, Inc., “but we are excited by the fact that Tracey wants to continue a philosophy of adventure race production similar to that which motivated us for
so many years.”

Tracey plans to start her adventure race production career this year by continuing the New England Adventure Race Series - the 6-hour Urban Adventure Race in Portland, Maine, the 12-hour Adventure Race July in Vermont, and the
24-hour FINAL Series event in New Hampshire in September. “As we continue to build the field of teams competing in the Series, I hope to add other events to the calendar for 2007”, Tracey states. “The goal is that racers can look
forward to a winter event and possibly an off-road triathlon for the 2007 season. And, you never know, my orienteering background may inspire another unique event as well.”
