Racing Ahead Changes Hands for 2006

As Norm Greenberg and Tracyn Thayer ‘retire’ from Adventure Race Production, a new owner Tracey Olafsen continues the tradition of Racing Ahead in New England.(Bethel, ME) – Racing Ahead, Inc. of Bethel, Maine is proud to announce the transfer of management to Tracey Olafsen of Racing Ahead, LLC based in Center Sandwich, New Hampshire.
“It’s been a bittersweet transition for usâ€, says Norm Greenberg of Racing Ahead, Inc., “but we are excited by the fact that Tracey wants to continue a philosophy of adventure race production similar to that which motivated us for
so many years.â€
Tracey plans to start her adventure race production career this year by continuing the New England Adventure Race Series - the 6-hour Urban Adventure Race in Portland, Maine, the 12-hour Adventure Race July in Vermont, and the
24-hour FINAL Series event in New Hampshire in September. “As we continue to build the field of teams competing in the Series, I hope to add other events to the calendar for 2007â€, Tracey states. “The goal is that racers can look
forward to a winter event and possibly an off-road triathlon for the 2007 season. And, you never know, my orienteering background may inspire another unique event as well.â€
