Team Crested Butte Partners with Fuji Bikes

Team Crested Butte has a new partnership with Fuji Bicycles. Over the next two years the team will be riding Fuji’s top of the line Outland RC full suspension mountain bikes in elite adventure races across the globe. Highlights of the season will include the anticipated return of Primal Quest and the hotly contested Saab/Salomon Raid World Cup.“We believe Fuji’s years of technological innovations and dedication to producing the best quality bicycle available makes them a perfect fit for us,†said team member Eric Sullivan. “The backing of an industry powerhouse like Fuji, puts us in a position to have a competitive edge. We know that we can win the biggest races on these bikes."
The team have been using skills honed on Gunnison-Crested Butte, Colorado’s challenging and picturesque terrain, to earn top race finishes and prove that their hometown is the perfect training ground.
Of course, Crested Butte is also very well known as a mountain bike mecca and the team carries on this tradition by posting some of the fastest mountain bike splits in every adventure race event it enters. Additionally, the team holds individual course records in the 24 Hours of Moab, Montezuma’s Revenge, and the Kokopelli Trail Race.

The co-ed team of four consist of Jon Brown, Jari Kirkland, Eric Sullivan, and Bryan Wickenhauser. They have been racing together for the last two and a half years, and are known as one of the top adventure race teams in North America. Team Crested Butte plans on following up their successful 2005 season with a full schedule this year including events in Australia, Canada, Brazil, & Western US.
