After 3 years on the south coast and last year at Bonny Hills on the Mid North Coast, Race Organiser/Director Craig Bycroft is excited to announce that competitiors will once again converge on the warmer climes of the Mid North Coast of NSW. Race HQ will be based on the Macleay Valley Coast approx 5hrs North of Sydney and 6hrs South of Brisbane. The descision to run this years event on the north coast was made even easier by the huge success of last years event and also due to the huge growth in popularity of Adventure Racing north of the border.

The Macleay Valley Coast is and awesome place with over 80% of the areas coastline being protected, and if you thought The SleepMonsters could be a worry in a 48hr race, well be sure to keep your eyes open as we have it on good authority that Australias version of the Saskwatch or Yeti, The Yowie has been sighted in the upper Macleay area, by a timber worker who was wrestled from his bed by a large hairy creature near Kookaburra. As well as the natural wonders of the Macleay Valley the area also has some magnificent historical places to visit, from Bellbrook and Willawarrin, the historic villages in the hinterland west of Kempsey to Trial Bay Gaol.
