ACE Races Ready for 2006

Ace Races have two new sponsors for 2006, Golite and Cotswold Outdoor, and will shortly run this year’s training course for those who want to sharpen their AR skills.

U.S. brand Golite are based in Boulder, Colorado and are known for their ultra-light products and design concepts. Their range includes clothing and packs designed specifically for adventure racing and the company sponsors an international team, one of the few to finish last year’s World Championships in New Zealand. (They are racing this weekend in the X-adventure Raid in Australia.)

Golite products will be on offer as prizes at this year’s ACE Races and will be on sale by another ACE Races sponsor, Total Adventure. Their event shop will be on site at ACE Base with all the last minute items you need, and paddling accessories including Ocean Kayak seat backs.

Cotswold Outdoor need no introduction and their New Business Development Manager Mick Gurney, who also manages the Cotswold AR team, was delighted to have the opportunity to support ACE Races. “ACE Races have lead the way in organising professional adventure racing in the U.K,” he said, “and with 19 stores around the country and our website we have everything an ACE Race competitor might need, so it’s an ideal partnership.” This year’s ACE Race winners will be receiving vouchers to spend at their nearest Cotswold store and the Cotswold team led by Ian McNab will be competing at all the races.
