Pop quiz: what goes everywhere, with everything, and is a great investment?

The answer is your garbage. Well, at least, at SMAC’s 6th annual adventure race.

SMAC is happy to welcome ARFE (Adventure Racers For the Environment) back on July 22nd, 2006. At ARFE’s ‘Treats-for-Trash’ spot, Adventure Racers will be rewarded with a treat when they bring garbage in off the race course. When was the last time your Garbage Man gave you something for your weekly trash?

But that’s not all: The team with the BEST piece of garbage (subject to race director’s opinion) will receive Team ARFE-SmartWool tops from SmartWool (fabulous stuff, valued at $50 apiece). Past award-winners have dragged in truck doors, whole toilets, and yes, used condoms (ugh)! The second ARFE prize ~ two sets of SmartWool socks for each team member, will be awarded in a draw for those teams who participate in the trash return.
