You could not have asked for a better victory: Nike ACG/Balance Bar sprinting to the finish a scant twenty seconds ahead of the Swedish team Cross Sportswear.

\"I never thought this race would end with a time trial,\" says Michael Tobin of Nike ACG/Balance Bar. \"They were faster on the canoes because we had bike handles dragging in the water, so they passed us there. But we got our bikes out of the boats faster. Then we got to the CP and we could not find it, and they caught up with us again. That was intense.\"

\"I feel so sorry for them,\" says Ian Adamson. \"I almost wish that they had won.\" Enough to cross the finish line as a team of eight, tied for first? \"Like hell,\" says Adamson with a laugh.
