Day 1 at the Wenger Czech Adventure Race

The first race day was quite fast and rich in funny stories. Right from the start teams ran for 3km of orienteering and than they were heading to 2 trekking stages, both spiced with via ferrata with 35km of canoe paddling in between.

Three teams flipped over at the canoe stage (if you are interested, it was SpirAlps klacky, Kompar Xtream and FREEMIND). No team complained about lack of water this year!

Even at via ferrata stage the fun continued. Fortunately, it was set right above river. A member of the FREEMIND team fell off the ferrata and was hanging too low to get back. His team mates had to cut his slings off. And team Kompar Xtream had some fun too: "I can´t hold anymore!“ "Just put your hands off, sit with the sling and have a rest.“  "But... I did not clip the carabiner to the safety rope!“ SPLASH!

Teams split into quitea  stable ranking during the day: Slovenian-Croatian team took the lead, 15mins to team KomparXtream. Than follows a group of three teams with similar speed. Exit, Běhal v dešti and Coś nom pizło na łeb from Poland. After their struggles with the CZAR route team FREEMIND followed by duo Havr Black and team Franta a jeho parta.

By the evening teams hit their bikes and rode a 125km long MTB stage. We will see in the morning who will go through this night test as the best. You can follow the teams LIVE (you can find link at www.adventurerace.cz)
