Stage 1: Friday 09.30 to 12.00 - Fantasy Football

Teams will be on a high for the start of the event ... literally. They will begin by taking a cable car to the start area, which is at the top of Kreuzeck telecabin, to play Fantasy Football - Challenger World style!

In this 2 hr 30 minute foot orienteering stage each team will have 11 Euro 2004 players (the same players for everyone), and they have to make as much money as possible by selling them at ‘Agent Points’ (AP’s). The money they make will translate to time bonuses and to help them they have to find ‘Information Points’ (IP’s) scattered around the competition area.

They’ll find different information at each IP and can split up to visit them, but they must all get back together to visit the AP’s. So they may find that Agent One won’t buy Beckham, or that Agent 2 will pay twice as much for him as Agent 3. The faster they move, and the better their navigation, the more information they can collect and the better they will do.

Once they’ve set their strategy, teams will be racing around, trying to locate the IP’s and AP’s on their map, and it’s likely that the harder locations to reach will offer better value for players being sold.

Orienteering skills will be key, so watch out for a good start from Scania, but so will communication, negotiation and risk taking. This is going to be a fast and furious start.See All Event Posts
