The Wild Racer - A Song for Adrenalin Rush

The staff of PC12 (and other places) felt the need to write a song for the race, to be sung at the closing party. If you want to join in it\'s to the tune of \'The Wild Rover\'.

Though I’ve been a wild racer for many a year,
There’s a race out in Ireland I really do fear.
The name that it goes by is Adrenalin Rush:
Turns your back-side to raw-hide, your feet into mush.

And its no, nay, never.
Kayaking all of the night!
Many miles on the water
Sore-hands and midge bites.

When I got to the PC I picked up my bike:
A very poor tool for a vertical hike.
The change over to trekking was a bit of a haze,
We went up the Bluestacks; were missing for days.

And its no, nay, never.
Is there a dentist out here?
Many miles in the mountains
Soggy map and- wet gear.

T’was after the Red-Bull, sea kayaks we sought,
But the worsening weather cut our paddling short.
So after a transit, on horse we took flight,
And to keep ourselves warm, set our rucsacs alight.

And its no, nay, never.
Do I walk like John Wayne?
Many miles in the saddle
My arse is aflame.
