Only 1 minute back was the 4 person mixed team \"The Grunting Wombats\" - Damon Goerke, Kim Willocks, Matt Blundell and Dave Proven.
During leg two, which involved a 29km mountain bike ride over the Great North Walking Track, team AROC - Tom Landon Smith, Alina McMasters and Kiwi, Karl Strode-Penny made their mark finishing the leg second, just 4 minutes behind team Knot Shore.
Leg three consisted of a 11km walk over some of the roughest terrain in the Great North Walking Track. During this leg, team AROC joined Knot Shore to complete the leg in just 2 hours. Team Crank - Michael Maryment, Matt DeBelin, Jane Cooksley and Andrew Cooksley overtook the Grunting Wombats to lead the four mixed division.
