4th place went to Darren and Jenny Wood (Red Bull) making heavily dominated by the premier mixed division.

Anthony Michell/Mark Bowring (Hardtale.com) 1st [5th overall] in the Men’s division with Brett Stevens/Josh Keep in 2nd (6th overall) Teams Cycleogical and Mayhem drew for 3rd in the Men’s Division (8th overall). Mike Brett & Tim Whitburn from team Cycleogical did a fantastic effort for first timers to adventure racing! Brett did one of the Maximum Adventure training sessions the Saturday before the event. This could have been his secret to success!

Thorlene Egerton/Wendy Read (Geronimo) dominated the women’s field by almost an hour over ‘Girls That Jump’ who were followed 2 hours later by ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’. Geronimo took 7th outright! Look out boys these girls are serious!

Checkout the discussion group for some great race stories and even a few strategy discussions. As Dave Crook says in the forum adventure racing is ‘thinking outside the square’ that is part of what makes this sport so unique. However we will not tolerate cheating and offenders will be disqualified.
