Two teams still on course

There are only two teams left to finish Explore Sweden: SOLE Custom Footbeds and, way at the back, Team Nomad.

Yesterday, three teams withdrew: the Swedish team Energizer was forced to withdraw at CP34 when racer Fredrik LindstrÃ¶m fell ill and was unable to keep anything down. The Finnish team Arkitektkopia withdrew on the cross country ski section after one member fell and injured his knee. He was transported off the mountain by snowmobile. And the Danish team Tscherning Loberon had difficulty and also withdrew.

SOLE has perfect weather for its kickbike section, and is expected across the finish line sometime late this afternoon. Team Nomad, always in good spirits even if theyâ€™re at the back, will finish late tonight. The race course was supposed to close at 10pm, but race management may extend the deadline so that the Nomads can have an official finish.
