The weather hasn\'t let up, but despite the rainy, cold conditions teams continue to enter TA2/CP14 in overall good spirits.

Race Directors, Norm Greenberg and Tracyn Thayer have had to impose an unexpected cut-off at TA2, as the latter teams risk not being able to make the most difficult of the navigational sections. Norm claimed \"if the team isn\'t on track to finish this mounatin bike section, they are highly unlikely to be able to navigate the even more challenging trekking section. Teams will also have the disadvantage of low clouds an very limited visibility, making the available \"clues\" for navigating, even during the day, very limited.\" Norm also stated \"if a team finishes this leg in under 14 hours I will be very surprised.\"

This time gets even longer for the teams farther back in the pack, making cut-offs even more necessary. \"Slower teams could be out there for over 24-hours and we can\'t risk sending teams not capable of navigating efficiently, especially at night, into an extremely remote and trailless section of the course\", added Norm Greenberg.

Teams affected by this cutoff will be driven by their support crews to TA3, where they will then continue on the full #2 lake paddling (and portaging) section. These teams will not be allowed to leave TA3 until 30 minutes after the first 4-person co-ed team has departed.
