Thundery Outlook for the Brisbane Teva Event

The biggest Teva field to date includes many veteran teams and it is difficult to predict who will fill the podium in the Premier Mixed Category. Race favourites are team Mountain Designs and Adventure Racing Equipment Australia (AREA). In last years Brisbane teva, these teams swapped the lead half a dozen times through out the race until AREA (the racing in 2004 as Land Rover), won by a noses length.

It won’t be easy for them to secure their pace on the podium, as the field has a lot of depth. Possible upsets could be teams Roger Ramjet and Stevo’s Mates who have traditionally raced in the male category but have made the switch to the Premier Mixed.

The event will be a blast, with teams trekking, building, biking, climbing, floating and balancing their way around the course. The events location, Woodford, has a great network of trails through both native and plantation forest. While teams are relieved to learn that a lot of the course is flat, they have been warned that there are some steep pitches and sandy patches on the bike that are bound to bring a few teams undone.
