The venue was Belanglo State Forest and clouds threatened from the start, amongst a quality field of competitors the race had attracted interstate favourites Mountain Designs from Qld, AROC Mountain Designs from the ACT and numorous locals out of the woodwork.



From the starting \"GO\" it was a fast and furious pace, the course involved competitors competing on foot and MTB and at the same time dealing with numorous obstacles designed by the race organisers placed around the course.



The first obstacle was titled \"bucket love\", more like \"barrage of eggs\", likened to a game of pig in the middle with competitors on either side of the 3rd person,the object was to lob raw eggs at the centre person and for them to catch the eggs unbroken in a bucket of water held firmy against the chest, penalty for breaking either of the 2 eggs was a penalty run around and obstacle course taking 3 or 4 mins. Invariably 90% of the field after lobbing the first egg were sprinting for the obstacle course of tree roots, trenches, mud and ankle hating uneven ground before heading to the next obstacle.
