Drawing on her experiences of the gruelling ‘Marathons des Sables’, Suzanna Madge from Brighton was selected as one of the 3 UK competitors who will compete in the International Selections of G4 Challenge at the start of February.There she will be competing against competitors from around the world as well as her fellow UK finalists Andy Grieve and Brian Reynolds to secure a place in the final stage of G4.
Away from her experiences on the G4 Challenge, Susanna’s thirst for travel and adventure has taken her all over the world and seen her climb Europe’s highest mountain as well as Mount Elbrus in Russia. She has also sumitted Aconcagua, South America’s highest peak.
Susanna’s love of adventure racing challenges began in 2003, when she realised the largely male dominated sport required a much-needed blend of female determination and glamour. Recruiting a group of like-minded ‘lipstick blondes’ her all-female team began entering adventure races and pitting their mental and physical powers against the guys and having fun along the way.
Susanna said: “We had a great time, and decided that all the teams that we passed or that passed us should be kissed by our bright red lipstick. By the end of the competitions we competed in, all the judges and many competitors had enjoyed our attentions�.See All Event Posts
